Aloha!

I am currently a Ph.D. Candidate (ABD) in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. My dissertation research focuses on applying electromagnetic modal decompositions to antenna problems to extract design-oriented insight. In addition to applied electromagnetics, I have experience working with cross-disciplinary topics such as topological insulators and microfluidics.

I was born and raised on the windward side of O'ahu, Hawai'i, and earned my B.S. in Electrical Engineering at the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa. I am a proud first-generation college student and National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow.
